# Face Drop AR vs ProductionCrate

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Face Drop AR at 100% against ProductionCrate's 59%. Face Drop AR also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). ProductionCrate's advantage is ratings volume (312 vs 3) and rating (3.9 vs 3.7). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ProductionCrate sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Face Drop AR asks for nothing beyond the download.

ProductionCrate holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ProductionCrate has 312 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Face Drop AR's written reviews are positive against 59% of ProductionCrate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Face Drop AR ships an update weekly, ProductionCrate monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
