# Top Compressor vs 研色

The clearest difference is price: Top Compressor at Free against 研色's $1.99. Top Compressor also leads on review sentiment (57% vs 38%) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). 研色's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.0). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Top Compressor is free to download; 研色 costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

研色 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Top Compressor has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Top Compressor's written reviews are positive against 38% of 研色's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Top Compressor ships an update every 11 days, 研色 fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
