# Sofrydd Stars vs ReadingScreen

The clearest difference is update cadence: ReadingScreen at every 2 months against Sofrydd Stars's every 24 months. ReadingScreen also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sofrydd Stars ships an update every 24 months, ReadingScreen every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
