# Cernucci vs Mercier

The clearest difference is rating: Cernucci at 4.9 against Mercier's 4.4. Cernucci also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (513 vs 5). Mercier's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 84%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cernucci holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cernucci has 513 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Cernucci's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mercier's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cernucci ships an update every 3 weeks, Mercier every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
