# Mars Perseverance 3D Simulator vs Mars Rescue

The clearest difference is rating: Mars Rescue at 4.6 against Mars Perseverance 3D Simulator's 4.0. Mars Rescue also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 66 months). Mars Perseverance 3D Simulator's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (178 vs 27). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mars Rescue sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Mars Perseverance 3D Simulator asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mars Rescue holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mars Perseverance 3D Simulator has 178 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Mars Perseverance 3D Simulator's written reviews are positive against 50% of Mars Rescue's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mars Perseverance 3D Simulator ships an update every 66 months, Mars Rescue every 4 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
