# Gerald vs Shield Guide

The clearest difference is rating: Shield Guide at 5.0 against Gerald's 4.4. Shield Guide also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Gerald's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (33K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
