# Tour Read Golf vs PuttView

The clearest difference is rating: Tour Read Golf at 4.0 against PuttView's 3.5. Tour Read Golf also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). PuttView's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and review sentiment (81% vs 71%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tour Read Golf sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and PuttView sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tour Read Golf holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 22 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Tour Read Golf's written reviews are positive against 81% of PuttView's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tour Read Golf ships an update every 6 months, PuttView every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
