# Caltrain+ vs Offduties

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Caltrain+ at 2.4K against Offduties's 3. Offduties's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Offduties holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Caltrain+ has 2.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of Caltrain+'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Offduties's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
