# Flashat vs Bashan

The clearest difference is rating: Bashan at 5.0 against Flashat's 4.3. Bashan also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). Flashat's advantage is ratings volume (39 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flashat sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $48.00 per year and Bashan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bashan holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashat has 39 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 93% of Flashat's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bashan's.

Flashat ships an update weekly, Bashan every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
