# Rivian vs 1 Hotels The clearest difference is rating: 1 Hotels at 4.8 against Rivian's 4.4. 1 Hotels also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Rivian's advantage is review sentiment (45% vs 29%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them. Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay. 1 Hotels holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.4K and 1.9K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of Rivian's written reviews are positive against 29% of 1 Hotels's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about. Rivian ships an update every 3 weeks, 1 Hotels every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026. ## The numbers | Metric | Rivian | 1 Hotels | | --- | --- | --- | | Price | Free | Free | | Rating | [4.4 (1.4K ratings)](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/rivian/id1570215232/reviews) | **[4.8 (1.9K ratings)](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/1-hotels/id6449586513/reviews)** | | Number of ratings | 1.4K | **1.9K** | | Positive reviews | **45.1% of reviews** | 28.6% of reviews | | In-app purchases | No | No | | Ads | No | No | | Update frequency | Every 3 weeks | **Every 2 weeks** | | Monetization | Free with in-app purchases | **Free** | | Size | 419 MB | 169 MB | | Requires iOS | 18.0 | **17.6** | | Devices | **iPhone, Apple Watch** | iPhone | | Age rating | 17+ | 4+ | | Developer | [Rivian](https://appshunter.io/developer/1394739758) | [SH Group Operations LLC](https://appshunter.io/developer/982062788) | ## What reviewers say ### Rivian [App page](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/rivian/id1570215232) Control and manage your electric vehicle with your smartphone.
