# Arbiter vs RefTown Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: Arbiter at 4.4 against RefTown Mobile's 3.3. Arbiter also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 12) and chart position (#79 vs unranked). RefTown Mobile's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 33%) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Arbiter holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Arbiter has 1.3K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Arbiter's written reviews are positive against 50% of RefTown Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Arbiter ships an update fortnightly, RefTown Mobile every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
