# Ahead vs Dig Deeper

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dig Deeper at 100% against Ahead's 71%. Dig Deeper also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Ahead's advantage is ratings volume (22K vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ahead sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Dig Deeper sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dig Deeper holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ahead has 22K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of Ahead's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dig Deeper's.

Ahead ships an update fortnightly, Dig Deeper every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
