# Message Bible (MSG) Audio* vs The FireBible

The clearest difference is monetization model: Message Bible (MSG) Audio* at free with in-app purchases against The FireBible's subscription. Message Bible (MSG) Audio* also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (2.9K vs 61). The FireBible's advantage is review sentiment (79% vs 46%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 42 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Message Bible (MSG) Audio* sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per year and The FireBible sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Message Bible (MSG) Audio* holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Message Bible (MSG) Audio* has 2.9K ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Message Bible (MSG) Audio*'s written reviews are positive against 79% of The FireBible's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Message Bible (MSG) Audio* ships an update every 42 months, The FireBible every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
