# VPN vs Event Timer +

The clearest difference is update cadence: VPN at every 10 days against Event Timer +'s monthly. Event Timer +'s advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Event Timer + sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN ships an update every 10 days, Event Timer + monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
