# CATS vs Hoofr

CATS and Hoofr both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Hoofr's written reviews are positive against 54% of CATS's. Hoofr also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 months). CATS's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 22). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hoofr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CATS has 17K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two.
