# Defter Notes vs Austere

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Defter Notes at 17.0 against Austere's 26.2. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Defter Notes sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Austere sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
