# Defter Notes vs Intermezzo

The clearest difference is update cadence: Defter Notes at fortnightly against Intermezzo's every 2 months. Intermezzo's advantage is device support (5 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Defter Notes sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Intermezzo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Defter Notes ships an update fortnightly, Intermezzo every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
