# Ace Trace vs Swingtweaks

The clearest difference is monetization model: Swingtweaks at free with in-app purchases against Ace Trace's subscription. Swingtweaks also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). Ace Trace's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 73) and chart position (#108 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ace Trace sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Swingtweaks sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Swingtweaks holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ace Trace has 2K ratings behind it against 73, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 51% of Ace Trace's written reviews are positive against 72% of Swingtweaks's.

Ace Trace ships an update every 2 weeks, Swingtweaks every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
