# Ace Trace vs Golf Tracer

The clearest difference is rating: Ace Trace at 4.3 against Golf Tracer's 3.0. Ace Trace also leads on ratings volume (2K vs 1) and chart position (#112 vs unranked). Golf Tracer's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ace Trace sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Golf Tracer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ace Trace holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ace Trace has 2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 51% of Ace Trace's written reviews are positive against 40% of Golf Tracer's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
