# SmallGoGo vs Godox Flash

The clearest difference is rating: Godox Flash at 1.8 against SmallGoGo's 1.0. Godox Flash also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 4) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Godox Flash holds the better App Store score, 1.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Godox Flash has 21 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of SmallGoGo's written reviews are positive against 10% of Godox Flash's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SmallGoGo ships an update every 3 months, Godox Flash every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
