# SmallGoGo vs VILTROX Lens

The clearest difference is rating: VILTROX Lens at 1.5 against SmallGoGo's 1.0. VILTROX Lens also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (42 vs 4). SmallGoGo's advantage is review sentiment (15% vs 5%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VILTROX Lens holds the better App Store score, 1.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VILTROX Lens has 42 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of SmallGoGo's written reviews are positive against 5% of VILTROX Lens's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SmallGoGo ships an update every 3 months, VILTROX Lens monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
