# Screen Recorder vs Screen Recorder

The clearest difference is rating: Screen Recorder at 4.5 against Screen Recorder's 3.9. Screen Recorder's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 9 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Recorder sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Screen Recorder sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Recorder holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 981 and 398 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of Screen Recorder's written reviews are positive against 43% of Screen Recorder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screen Recorder ships an update every 9 months, Screen Recorder every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
