# Waline vs AppSeen

The clearest difference is monetization model: Waline at free with in-app purchases against AppSeen's subscription. Waline also leads on review sentiment (59% vs 23%). AppSeen's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 13 months). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Waline sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and AppSeen sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Waline against 4.2 for AppSeen. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 97 and 138 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 59% of Waline's written reviews are positive against 23% of AppSeen's.

Waline ships an update every 13 months, AppSeen monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
