# Session vs Pixieset

The clearest difference is rating: Pixieset at 4.9 against Session's 4.4. Pixieset also leads on ratings volume (2.4K vs 29) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
