# NoteEase vs Ink

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ink at every 2 days against NoteEase's monthly. NoteEase's advantage is iOS requirement (14.1 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteEase sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per year and Ink sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteEase ships an update monthly, Ink every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
