# PoppySphere vs VRChat

The clearest difference is update cadence: VRChat at weekly against PoppySphere's every 6 weeks. VRChat also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (3.3K vs 88). PoppySphere's advantage is review sentiment (66% vs 46%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PoppySphere sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and VRChat sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VRChat holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VRChat has 3.3K ratings behind it against 88, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of PoppySphere's written reviews are positive against 46% of VRChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PoppySphere ships an update every 6 weeks, VRChat weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
