# Dote Timer vs Ultimate Focus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Dote Timer at every 6 days against Ultimate Focus's every 3 weeks. Ultimate Focus's advantage is ratings volume (183 vs 36) and device support (6 vs 4). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dote Timer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 3 months and Ultimate Focus sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ultimate Focus holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ultimate Focus has 183 ratings behind it against 36, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Dote Timer's written reviews are positive against 85% of Ultimate Focus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dote Timer ships an update every 6 days, Ultimate Focus every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
