# Flight Tracker Live vs Package Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Flight Tracker Live at freemium against Package Tracker's subscription. Flight Tracker Live also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 164). Package Tracker's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Tracker Live sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Package Tracker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Package Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight Tracker Live has 1.5K ratings behind it against 164, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 11% of Flight Tracker Live's written reviews are positive against 13% of Package Tracker's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
