# Skincare Routine vs Hygiene Helper

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Hygiene Helper at none against Skincare Routine's 6. Hygiene Helper also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 4 weeks). Skincare Routine's advantage is ratings volume (609 vs 4) and review sentiment (81% vs 67%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Skincare Routine sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Hygiene Helper asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hygiene Helper holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Skincare Routine has 609 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Skincare Routine's written reviews are positive against 67% of Hygiene Helper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Skincare Routine ships an update every 4 weeks, Hygiene Helper every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
