# Mandate vs IDA

The clearest difference is update cadence: IDA at every 2 weeks against Mandate's monthly. IDA also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mandate ships an update monthly, IDA every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
