# File Transfer・Share my Data vs Smart switch

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Smart switch at 75% against File Transfer・Share my Data's 23%. Smart switch also leads on device support (3 vs 1). File Transfer・Share my Data's advantage is rating (3.0 vs 2.3) and ratings volume (26 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. File Transfer・Share my Data sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Smart switch sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

File Transfer・Share my Data holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: File Transfer・Share my Data has 26 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of File Transfer・Share my Data's written reviews are positive against 75% of Smart switch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

File Transfer・Share my Data ships an update monthly, Smart switch every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
