# File Transfer・Share my Data vs Copy My Data

The clearest difference is rating: Copy My Data at 4.6 against File Transfer・Share my Data's 3.0. Copy My Data also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 26) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. File Transfer・Share my Data sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Copy My Data sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Copy My Data holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Copy My Data has 1.1K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of File Transfer・Share my Data's written reviews are positive against 21% of Copy My Data's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

File Transfer・Share my Data ships an update monthly, Copy My Data fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
