# J vs Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Pro at 3.1 against J's 2.6. J's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 30%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pro holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 2.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 14 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of J's written reviews are positive against 30% of Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

J ships an update fortnightly, Pro every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
