# CompTIA A+ & Security + Prep vs Locked In

The clearest difference is ratings volume: CompTIA A+ & Security + Prep at 2.2K against Locked In's 1. CompTIA A+ & Security + Prep also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Locked In's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CompTIA A+ & Security + Prep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month and Locked In sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Locked In holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CompTIA A+ & Security + Prep has 2.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CompTIA A+ & Security + Prep ships an update every 5 weeks, Locked In every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
