# Kaiju Run vs Crazy Kaiju

The clearest difference is monetization model: Crazy Kaiju at free with in-app purchases against Kaiju Run's subscription. Crazy Kaiju also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 63%). Kaiju Run's advantage is ratings volume (59K vs 1.8K) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kaiju Run sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.49 per 7 days and Crazy Kaiju sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kaiju Run holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kaiju Run has 59K ratings behind it against 1.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Kaiju Run's written reviews are positive against 100% of Crazy Kaiju's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kaiju Run ships an update every 5 weeks, Crazy Kaiju every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
