# ASRV vs grinbox

The clearest difference is monetization model: grinbox at free against ASRV's free with in-app purchases. grinbox also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). ASRV's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ASRV against 5.0 for grinbox. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ASRV has 2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ASRV ships an update fortnightly, grinbox every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
