# Scrybe vs Tune.fm

The clearest difference is rating: Tune.fm at 5.0 against Scrybe's 4.3. Tune.fm also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11) and device support (4 vs 2). Scrybe's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 45%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 10 days). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scrybe sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Tune.fm asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tune.fm holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scrybe has 83 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Scrybe's written reviews are positive against 45% of Tune.fm's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Scrybe ships an update every 2 days, Tune.fm every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
