# BLE Cutter vs Project

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BLE Cutter at none against Project's 1. BLE Cutter also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Project's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Project sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. BLE Cutter asks for nothing beyond the download.

BLE Cutter ships an update every 6 months, Project every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
