# Slate Educational Scheduling vs My Optimum

The clearest difference is rating: My Optimum at 4.3 against Slate Educational Scheduling's 2.0. My Optimum also leads on ratings volume (98K vs 5) and chart position (#92 vs unranked). Slate Educational Scheduling's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 10%) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

My Optimum holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Optimum has 98K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Slate Educational Scheduling's written reviews are positive against 10% of My Optimum's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Slate Educational Scheduling ships an update weekly, My Optimum monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
