# Nextnews vs StarCat

The clearest difference is price: Nextnews at Free against StarCat's $1.99. Nextnews also leads on rating (4.4 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 weeks). StarCat's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and chart position (#107 vs unranked). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Nextnews is free to download; StarCat costs $1.99 up front. Nextnews sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. StarCat asks for nothing beyond the download.
