# Yik Yak vs Evince App

The clearest difference is rating: Evince App at 5.0 against Yik Yak's 3.9. Evince App also leads on ads (none vs shown). Yik Yak's advantage is ratings volume (52K vs 4) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Yik Yak sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Evince App sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Evince App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yik Yak has 52K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Yik Yak ships an update weekly, Evince App monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
