# Floating Clock vs Split Screen Multitasking Tool

The clearest difference is rating: Floating Clock at 4.2 against Split Screen Multitasking Tool's 3.7. Floating Clock also leads on ratings volume (91 vs 6). Split Screen Multitasking Tool's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 41%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Floating Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Split Screen Multitasking Tool sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Floating Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Floating Clock has 91 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Floating Clock's written reviews are positive against 60% of Split Screen Multitasking Tool's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Floating Clock ships an update every 3 months, Split Screen Multitasking Tool every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
