# Floating Clock vs Cue

The clearest difference is rating: Cue at 5.0 against Floating Clock's 4.2. Cue also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Floating Clock's advantage is ratings volume (94 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Floating Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cue sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cue holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Floating Clock has 94 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Floating Clock ships an update every 3 months, Cue every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
