# Mare vs Underground Blossom

The clearest difference is rating: Underground Blossom at 4.9 against Mare's 4.0. Underground Blossom also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (4.4K vs 4). Mare's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.0). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Mare costs $4.99 and Underground Blossom $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Underground Blossom holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Underground Blossom has 4.4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Mare's written reviews are positive against 98% of Underground Blossom's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mare ships an update every 6 weeks, Underground Blossom weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
