# Mare vs Tiny Robots

The clearest difference is price: Tiny Robots at Free against Mare's $4.99. Tiny Robots also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (1K vs 4). Mare's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ads (none vs shown). On update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Tiny Robots is free to download; Mare costs $4.99 up front. Tiny Robots sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Mare asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tiny Robots holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tiny Robots has 1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Mare's written reviews are positive against 74% of Tiny Robots's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mare ships an update every 6 weeks, Tiny Robots every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
