# Mare vs Monument Valley 3

The clearest difference is price: Monument Valley 3 at Free against Mare's $4.99. Monument Valley 3 also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (4.9K vs 4). Mare's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (100% vs 78%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Monument Valley 3 is free to download; Mare costs $4.99 up front. Monument Valley 3 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Mare asks for nothing beyond the download.

Monument Valley 3 holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monument Valley 3 has 4.9K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Mare's written reviews are positive against 78% of Monument Valley 3's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
