# G vs Biotic Instruments

The clearest difference is review sentiment: G at 100% against Biotic Instruments's 0%. G also leads on ratings volume (3 vs 1). Biotic Instruments's advantage is rating (2.0 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 27 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Biotic Instruments holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of G's written reviews are positive against 0% of Biotic Instruments's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

G ships an update every 27 months, Biotic Instruments every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
