# Geonection vs Phone Location Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Geonection at 4.4 against Phone Location Tracker's 3.7. Geonection also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Geonection sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Phone Location Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Geonection holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Geonection has 233 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Geonection ships an update every 2 weeks, Phone Location Tracker every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
