About

Cookmarks

Features

Cookmarks is a recipe organizer for the dishes you find online. Save recipes from any website, put them on your weekly meal planner, and get a shopping list without writing a thing down. Everything works offline, and you never need an account. SAVING A RECIPE Open a recipe in your browser, tap Share, choose Cookmarks. The ingredients, method, photo, cooking times and nutrition are imported and laid out in one tidy page, minus the banners and pop-ups of the original site. Already copied the link? Paste it inside the app. Or type up grandma's recipe from a card and add your own photos. ONE PLACE FOR ALL OF THEM Every saved recipe lands in a digital cookbook on your phone. Flip between a photo grid and a list, sort by newest, name or source, and search by name when you know what you want. Cookmarks also groups your recipe box for you: by website, by cuisine, and by diet such as vegan, vegetarian or gluten free. Finding a quick Thai dinner or every bread you saved from one baking blog takes a couple of taps. PLANNING THE WEEK The weekly meal planner gives each day a breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack slot. Drop in a saved recipe or type a quick meal like "leftovers" or "pizza night". Rename the slots if your days run differently. Calories, protein, carbs and fat are shown per meal, so you can see how a day adds up. Plans change, so any meal can move to another day, and each recipe shows when it is planned. SHOPPING FROM RECIPES Pick a few recipes, or the whole week from the planner, and Cookmarks writes your shopping list. Shared ingredients are combined, so onions from three dinners become one line with the total. Every item remembers which recipe asked for it. Add extras by hand and check things off in the store. COOKING A recipe opens with ingredients and steps on separate tabs. Scale the servings and the quantities follow. Mark ingredients as you measure them and steps as you finish, so a phone call halfway through does not lose your place. YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU Recipes, plans and lists are stored on the device. Want a backup, or the same cookbook app on your phone and tablet? Sign in and your recipe manager syncs in the background. Save recipes today, cook them next week. That is the whole idea behind this recipe organizer. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
