# MyDayWidget vs Countdown

The clearest difference is ads: MyDayWidget at none against Countdown's shown. Countdown's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyDayWidget sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Countdown sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyDayWidget ships an update every 5 weeks, Countdown every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
